If I Actually Told You I Love You

Julie Wimmer
If I could make up a new word for love,

I would.

Just telling you I love you seems

some times like less than it should.

If I said, "I apple you," that could

mean you're tart.

And if I uttered, "I study you," that could

mean you're smart.

If I told you, "I candy you," that could

mean you're sweet.

And if I said, "I snack you," that could

mean you're a treat.

If I whispered, "I cotton you," that could

mean you're tender.

If I mentioned, "I thin you," that could

mean you're slender.

If I uttered, "I party you," that could

mean you're a lot of fun.

But if I told you, "I love you," that would

mean I know that you're the only one.

http://www.gather.com, This is a great Writers site I thought you would enjoy joining. They do not pay, but you are in the company of other writers and get a chance to have what you write read by many and also converse. Just a thought. I love what you write.
