If You Are Bothered by Canker Sores Then Try These Effective Home Remedies

Apthous ulcers, also known as canker sores, are painful sores that form on the inside of the mouth in various places. Nobody is safe from canker sores, and although they are not dangerous nor deadly, they can be extremely painful and uncomfortable. Treating canker sores with the following good old fashioned home remedies can relieve the pain and dramatically shorten the duration of the sores.

Baking Soda Remedy

Take a bit of baking soda and mix it with some water. Dab it on the sore(s) every one to two hours. Baking soda tends to take the sting out of the sore, while helping to speed up the healing process.

Hot Salt Water Remedy

Make a mixture of hot salt water. When temperature of mixture if hot but bearable, rinse your mouth thoroughly with the hot salt water. Repeat this process every hour or two for the best possible results. Salt is healing and will also take some of the pain out of the affected area.

Hydrogen Peroxide Remedy

Take a quarter of a cup of hydrogen peroxide and mix with a quarter of a cup of water. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with this mixture three times per day. It also is helpful to put a bit of hydrogen peroxide on a cotton swab and dab it directly onto the sore(s). This will sterilize the sore, increase the rate of healing and relieve some of the pain and swelling.

Jalapeno Pepper Remedy

Jalapeno Peppers are an excellent analgesic pain reliever for cancer sores. Cut one in half and apply it directly to the sore. It will burn slightly at first, however it will render it completely numb, taking the pain away. It will also aid in the healing process.

Tea Bag Remedy

Take a damp tea bag and apply it directly to the ulcers. This aids in the healing and relieves some of the pain.

Vitamin C Tablet Remedy

Take a vitamin C tablet and place it directly on the sore(s). Please note that it must be a tablet and not a capsule or gel cap. Allow the tablet to dissolve directly on the sore. This is supposed to aid in healing and relieves the pain in the process.

Melaleuaca's Mouth Wash

Melaleuaca's Mouth Wash is an excellent remedy for cancer sores. Rinsing the mouth with it twice per day will help to heal the sore(s).
