If I Had the Chance, to Bring My Brother Back
A Poem for My Brother Chris, Who was Killed by a Drunk Driver in 2004 at the Age of Twenty-five
molding and shaping your spirit,
revealing who you are today.
If I had the chance,
to bring my only brother back,
I'd give everything I have away.
Something I feared,
happened in a blink of an eye,
My frustration ceases only when I cry.
I wish's and would have's
remain in the back of my head.
He would know I was proud and that I loved him dearly,
A couple of things I should have said.
They say everything happens,
for a particular reason,
but I don't know what to believe,
because confusion starts and ends,
with no answer in between.
I do know that tomorrow,
is never guaranteed.
Live life fully and never look back,
because life's endless direction,
will never be foreseen.

I spent 6 years in the U.S. Navy as a Dental Technician/Hospital Corpsman. I've learned the most from my deployment to Iraq in 2003 and also from losing my brother to a drunk driver in 2004. View profile
