If Noah's Ark is Found, Does that Validate the Bible?

No, finding Noah's isn't going to validate the Bible, at least not by itself. Scientific proof tells us that it was a local flood. In fact, some scientists even claim that they have already found Noah's ark. Yet, it has nothing to do with God's existence or lack of existence. If Noah's ark is officially found, skeptics will continue to need more validation. We may not have Noah's ark for sure, but don't we have rainbows as a sign of Gods promise to Noah? There are many unproven stories in the Bible, which means that the Bible could never be totally validated based on physical evidence. There are some people who are never going to be satisfied no matter how much proof they have.

I believe that Noah's ark is the story of a small flood and that the traditional story is meant as a cautionary tale. There are many other stories in the Bible including the parting of the Red Sea and Jesus rising from his tomb. I've always believed that a relationship with God is mainly personal. Whether you believe in God or not should not depend on proof. As Jesus said after his resurrection, "blessed is he who hasn't seen but still believes." A true Christian believes in the Bible because they want to, and doesn't go looking for proof. God wants us to believe out of faith, not out of sight. If believing in God and Jesus feels right in your heart, don't let others tell you it isn't. However, if it does not feel right, it should not be based on a lack of physical evidence.

Christianity is a religion based on faith and trust. Christians believe that God exists because they know there is a higher power out there somewhere. Christians believe that the word of God is real and feel divine power in their lives. Christianity isn't based on physical artifacts or actual proof. You need to figure out what feels right to you, and follow it. The Bible doesn't need any validation, it needs to be trusted regardless. God is never going to give us enough validation since he wants to believe on our own. If he gives us proof to believe, then we believe because we have seen, not because we want to. God wants us to believe because we want to believe, not because we've been validated with proof.
