If Not for Him

I can't begin
To explain the pain I'm in
No words could make you understand

To know how it feels
To believe that it's real
You'd have to experience it first hand

A life living in pain
One has to refrain
From activities they used to enjoy

But you can't just stop livin'
If you stop moving, and give in
Your whole life, it will destroy

GOD can help you keep going
He'll lighten the load that you're towing
Just ask him to help you out

If not for him
The chances are slim
That I'd be up and moving about

So I start every day
In much the same way
Asking GOD to help me through it

His promises are true
That He makes to me and you
They're not just words from the pulpit!
