If only people would appreciate
all that they already had,
this world would be a better place
and wouldn't be so sad.
It used to be that folks were glad
to have family and a friend
to share their lives, their love,
they knew how to really win.
However in today's world, we're too busy
to be thankful for life's gifts
Instead they stand around talking of each other
causing great problems and rifts.
Look around you, all you people
life is really great and fine
Thank the good Lord for what you have
and stop complaining all the time.
