If Vices Are Virtues?

A Poem

Kitty Stevens
If vices aren't virtues
then how can it be?
That people seem drawn to them
and why would they see?
That these vices have helped them
to finally reach
a point at which they can realistically be,
the very best version of what life seems to need.

I ponder this 'pondering' as I suddenly reach,
the pinnacle of my life, as I slowly see this breach.
The breach of logical meaning
The breach of reason and joy.
I think that I finally realized that it was all just a ploy.

A ploy to maintain order,
a ploy to gain control,
I don't think I can comply
with this absurd load of bull.

The definitions of vice and virtue are often constructed by the morally judgmental...I've learned much through independence:) Love your last four lines.
