If I Were a Sheep

Lee Leon
If I were a sheep then I'd be woolly in the head
I would stand within my field and think of grass
And nobody would listen much to anything I said
And I'd just look through the fence and watch them pass.

I wouldn't stop to think about the cost of rising debt
Or whether how I lived my life was right
So many things, I simply would not bother to forget
Before I could enjoy my sleep at night.

At night, I'd have a little barn where I could quietly sleep
And dream the dreams that come when sheepies snooze
There'd be a little trough of food nearby to feed the sheep
And I'd wake up when the cock a doodle doos.

I wanted to be a serious writer - unfortunately my muse is a small and not completely sane sheep - but what can you do? It's hard to explain, but that's life and I guess someone has to do it!  View profile

it's far more peaceful than an alarm clock - but not as easy to control.
