"Now it turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers," Palin said.
"Boooo!" said the crowd.
"And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,'" she continued.
"Boooo!" the crowd repeated.
"Kill him!" proposed one man in the audience.
Palin went on to say that "Obama held one of the first meetings of his political career in Bill Ayers's living room, and they've worked together on various projects in Chicago."
What next? Doctored pictures of Obama having a beer at a BBQ with Saddam Hussein?
Who are these people to say he is a terrorist? George Bush and Dick Cheney all started an illegal war by lying to American citizens about WMD's being in Iraq's possession just to make money for Halliburton.
Meanwhile, members of our armed forces had to leave their families and go over seas to fight a phantom menace in the Middle East. Innocent Iraqi citizens were murdered and our nation began to sink into the economic hell hole that it is today.
But oh, don't point that out or you will be labeled "unpatriotic" or "a terrorist" or even worse, "Un-American".
Is this what being an American is all about? Supporting our right to take advantage of those who are not able to defend themselves? To lie to our citizens about our motives for involved in a war that does not have to be fought?
To tell the citizens of this great nation that if you are not of Caucasian heritage
then you are not a true American is not only racist and backward but destructive as well.
I am of mixed heritage. My mother is Latina and my father is Caucasian. I have a little girl who is a quarter Latina. I have always believed that my race does not matter. That I can be whatever I wish to be and as long as I work hard. I plan on teaching my daughter the same things, but it breaks my heart to know that is not exactly true.
Apparently not all people consider all U.S. born citizens as "American". This both frightens and angers me to no end.
Barack Obama worked hard, graduated from a Top law school, broke racial and economic barriers left and right, overcame all the obstacles in his way and is now vying for the most illustrious position this country has: President of the United States of America.
Why? Because he loves this country. He wants to dedicate his life to making life better for all of its citizens.
What can be more American than that?

Post a CommentGood points, Robyn.
If Palin was in Philadelphia, where they have been known to boo Santa Claus, they were booing because that's what they do. I'd love to go boo Sarah Palin or John McCain. Does anyone know when they'll be in Texas?
The McCain campaign is despicable. Great article.
