Chantix works differently from most stop-smoking products. The main difference here is that Chantix does not contain any nicotine. It actually blocks the nicotine receptors in your brain. Basically when you do smoke you don't really get anything from it. And it is said that at the end of the 12 program 44% of people who tried the product were able to stop smoking as opposed to the 17% who were able to quit while on a placebo.
Chantix also has a wonderful support program that you can call on absolutely free for 1 full year. I have heard these calls personally, and I can tell you that the Customer Support Agents that you will speak to are some of the most educated, compassionate people that I have ever heard speak in my life. They will give you ideas of things to do instead of smoking. They will tell you, take a shower, play with your animal friend, or something with your child. Anything that will help you get through a craving. The truth is most cravings actually last for 10 minuets or less.
I decided to find out what smoking is costing me. Now I am not a big smoker at all - say 4 cigarettes per day. With 4 cigarettes per day at $6 per pack I am spending almost $500 a year on smoking. And I am a light smoker! I know on the nights when I go out with friends I can easily smoke an entire pack in a few hours. If you are smoking 1 pack per day at an average of $6 per pack you are spending $2190 per year on smoking. That is a mortgage payment. And at that same 1 pack per day over 5 years of not smoking you would have saved your self $11,000. No that is not a typo.
Plus, your food will taste better. When someone smells something great like baking bread, you will actually be able to smell it as well. Your teeth will become whiter and your breath fresher. And you can cut your risk of cancer in half. If you feel like you are really ready to put down the pack, I would recommend the Chantix product. You don't quit cold turkey, and you actually smoke for the first 2 weeks of your 12-week treatment. It's worth the journey. I am considering taking it, what about you?
