Ignoramuses Talking at Cross-Purposes and Holding a Nation to Ransom
Don't Blame Economics. It Knows No Tricks
One guy claims he is the unofficial spokesperson of the Lincoln party but speaks only for himself, because babbling is what he does for a living.
The other guy claims he leads his party on the Capitol Hill for a living.
The first talkative guy made fools of American by arrogantly declaring:
OUTSOURCING IS AN ECONOMIC NECESSITY. IT WILL CONTINUE.
Whose economic necessity it was, Mr.Limbaugh?
Yes, the economic necessity of some traitorous, philandering CEOs and their friends.
The other guy made the most ludicrous statement ever said in this matter:
CHINESE, INDIANS AND OTHERS ARE NOT CO-OPERATING WITH US IN STOPPING OUTSOURCING.
Mr.Boehner, which Chinese or Indian or other came swimming over the oceans and put a gun to an American CEO's or politician's head and demanded,"Outsource now, else you are dead"?
Nobody did.
Why are we Americans in the predicament of shouldering people like this as our leaders and spokespersons?
Are we a bunch of cowards and hypocrites who don't take actions against our own culprits just because their skins are of the same color as ours?
If past is any indication, we are.
We never uttered a word when Richard Nixon sent manufacturing jobs to China because our minds were riveted on some foreign enemies (as always) - the Russians.
Yeah, even when our jobs were being stolen right under our nose, thus impoverishing us, we said Hallelujah and Amen just to woo China away from Russia.
Did we achieve our objective by scarificing our manufacturing jobs? Never.
Another shameful reason was that MAJORITY OF AMERICANS WHO LOST MILLIONS OF MANUFACTURING JOBS WERE AFRICAN AMERICANS. They didn't have anybody to talk on their behalf at that time.
So, they silently and slowly got absorbed into the retail sector, which luckily was burgeoning at that time.
But that didn't mean those jobs were NOT lost for ever. Retail sector just conveniently covered up the loss of $40-50 dollar per hour technical jobs with $5-9 dollar per hour sales jobs!
That cowardice of not speaking against manufacturing jobs outsourcing from the sixties to eighties just because majority sufferers were blacks made us helpless witnesses when white collar jobs went abroad at the turn of the millennium.
Because we made that cardinal blunder out of racial blindness when manufacturing jobs disappeared, we lost the moral courage to effectively oppose white collar job outsourcing decades later.
We lost ten times more jobs with blue collar outsourcing than white collar outsourcing. But why the hue and cry NOW while nobody raised a voice THEN?
Because, the majority who lost their jobs this time are fair-skinned people.
And one guy gave the ridiculous excuse that Chinese girls are beautiful so he has no problem with manufacturing job loss.
Unfortunately, economy and economics don't look whether our brains have descended to our genitals. They have their own rules to follow. Both never even look at the color of its subjects. If we deal with economy and economics the way we read Kamsutra, then that is also the way those sciences will deal with us.
It is very easy to start a vicious cycle, but not that easy to stop it.
If you send your own jobs to others, irrespective of the color of the collar and the skin, you are burning your own house. The truth is there is not even one justification to send any job abroad - blue or white collared, because it is against the principles of economics.
And that cowardice and hypocrisy is forcing us, both supporters and opponents, not to take any worthwhile actions except repeating "Russia, China, India" endlessly.
I know it takes lot of humility and honesty to admit we were wrong. But that is the only way to bring those jobs back.
Limbaugh is not telling the truth when he tries to hammer the lie that outsourcing is an economic necessity because his money comes from the only Americans he knows of well - the CEOs, whom he and his ilk may patronizingly call "Free Enterprise and No Government."
But we cannot wait for Limbaugh or Boehner to grow extra neurons in their brains to admit they are wrong.
That will not feed our families.
The steps are simple if you have the will and courage to do it.
1. First, with humility and honesty, let us admit we made a mistake by exporting our jobs right from Nixon days. No blame games here please, if you really want to move forward.
2. Now with that guilt off from our bosom, let us assert positively:
If we sent our jobs abroad, NOW we can and will bring them back.
3. When you shop, look for Made In USA label. I agree, because of our foolishness in believing our leaders, we don't have many such labels today. But that doesn't mean there shouldn't be any in future.
4. Now things become pretty serious - only if you are a doer and not just a talker, and don't have the money to go it alone:
If you think you have a "Made In USA" idea, don't go the CEO way, but start a CO-OPERATIVE in your own community. You don't need an MBA to start a co-operative. And each month one member is chosen as the boss (I hate to say the word CEO a second time) in rotation - not to steal but nurture a business.
I agree, because of our worthless baby boomer pastime of looking at Russian butts all the time, the term CO-OPERATIVE has become a communist term.
No folks, this is about a few Americans banding together to make SMALL contributions to raise capital to do business. If you are uncomfortable using the term "CO-OPERATIVE," find another term, because there is no Communist Party breathing down our necks to lord it over us.
When we hear the name Grumman (acquired by Northrop later), we get visions of airplanes, ships and hitech. But how many of us know that it was started as a truck welding partnership of two people in an auto workshop in the Long Island part of New York state?
But if you are in the habit of looking at the color of your customers, you are not fit for business. Because the greenback has only one color.
That is also the case if you don't like the idea of others getting rich along with you.
Now, blame games will only make show talk personalities and politicians get richer.
And, microphones enrich only a few megalomaniacs.
If we want to go backward still, we can invent a few more zillion lies and excuses. But if we want to go forward there is only one reason - we, the Americans.
Mr.Limbaugh, if we are Americans, we will bring our jobs back. We are fed up with artful indoctrinations from within. No need to get alarmed by our efforts to bring the jobs back.
And Mr. Boehner, no Chinese or Indians are holding their guns to our heads to stop us bringing our jobs back. Only people like you are.
If our wages have to come down, let it be. A rising wage only gives an excuse to raise prices and the bottom-line remains the same.
But don't tell me the jobs won't come back. Nobody is a god to say that.
Everybody, whether buried in golden or wooden caskets, be it in Arlington or in the unsung village grave, will be equally eaten by the same worms in the nastiest circumstances, despite glowing eulogies by the survivors.
