I don't know about you, but I love getting my IKEA catalog in the mail. They have cornered the market on affordable home furnishings made of quality materials. IKEA is also known for their ethical practices regarding environmentally-friendly packaging and materials used in their furnishings. Well, in keeping with their excellent customer service and reputation for always having their finger on the pulse of what people want, IKEA has lowered prices for 2010.

The popular and comfortable loveseat and chaise from the KARLSTAD collection has been reduced by over $100, from $978 down to $828. The KARLSTAD sofa, has been reduced by $100 as well, down from $499 to $399.

If a sofa bed is what you are looking for, IKEA has reduced the price of the BEDDINGE LOVAS series sofa bed, making it an affordable $239, over last year's price at just under $300.

The Lack series popular side table has been reduced to $7.99, from last year's price of $12.99. Additionally, the Lack Coffee tables have been reduced as well. The black/brown finish has been taken to $19.99 from $29.99 and the birch Lack coffee table is now $39.99 from last year's price of $49.99. Also seeing a lower price is the Lack series TV bench, which has sees a $20 reduction in price, down from last season's $69.99 to just under $50.

In bookcases, the popular BILLY bookcases have not moved in price, but the BERGSBO bookcase with glass doors in a bright red color, is now $249, from $279, for a $30 reduction.

Two EXPEDIT shelving units at IKEA are seeing lower prices in 2010. The EXPEDIT shelving unit that was previously $59.99 is now $10 cheaper, and the walnut colored larger EXPEDIT shelving unit/bookcase is more affordable at $99.99, seeing a price reduction of $20.

In dining, the GRANAS table and four chairs which was previous $249 sees a much lower price tag, now an affordable $179.

In the bedroom, the LEIRVIK queen bed frame from IKEA, powder-coated steel with a white finish, has dropped $50, now coming in at just under $100, making it very affordable for a queen bed frame. Bedding has dropped too, specifically the MALOU duvet cover set. Depending on which size you need, you can see anywhere from a $5 to a $25 drop in price per set.

IKEA has extended their lower prices to the home office as well. For example, the MIKAEL desk, which was $79.99 last year, now sees a $30 reduction for a price tag at under $50.

These are only some of the many price reductions you'll notice in IKEA stores for 2010. The prices are valid until June 30, 2010 and can be seen in all departments, including textiles and accessories.
