"My lovingness knows no limit!"
(It's not true-you can tell-
But why should I admit it?)
I resolved to love my neighbor,
No matter what should come!
(Talking to him is such labor.
He's essentially a bum)
My friends, they're so great,
I love them no matter what!
(They say a lot of stuff I hate,
And they're in an awful rut)
My wife, now she's just perfect!
I love her twice as much each day!
(She doesn't give me much respect.
She's always got to have her way)
Wait a minute... I left the path somehow.
Things aren't how they're to be!
From where I was until now,
The only one I love... is me.
So each day I'll renew it all.
I'll go back to the honeymoon.
My friends' adventures I'll recall,
And always sing the same tune.
So, Lord, help me be a loving man,
When things get out of whack,
And whenever I fall away again
Hold on friends-I'll be right back...
