The first thing I love about Illuminare is that it does not make me dry me out. It does accentuate the dry flakes but almost all foundations do that so I cannot really complain that much. The best thing you can do is just exfoliate. Also, it tends to be oily and sticky when I have some oils on my face, like when I put heavy moisturizer before applying the foundation, but I usually use a moisturizer that does not make my face oily in the morning so it works out for me.
This foundation is very concentrated so you need very little at a time. I did not think that this was possible but you only need very little. Also, it has a great coverage so you do not need a separate concealer. I just layer an extra layer of foundation wherever I need more coverage. And even with several layers, it never looks cakey and always looks natural. I love how natural this looks even with all the coverage that this gives.
The packaging is appropriate for a foundation like this. It comes in a very small tube type of packaging and it is not attractive at all but it is very easy to get out all the foundation and since you only need a little at a time, it is easy to get just a little out.
I have not had any major breakouts with this. I have used this regularly for a little over a month so I do not think that I will have any problems in the future. However, this has dimethicone and I think a lot of people are sensitive to it, so it is not perfect for everybody.
I think the price is a little steep for the size. It is $27 for a very small 0.5 oz size. But, it does last long. I have used it for over a month and I have not even used 1/5 of it. So, I do think it is worth the price. I think this will be perfect for anyone in every occasion, especially because this is very easy to use and gives great coverage. I will definitely buy this again if I do not suddenly have unexpected trouble with this.
