I'm a Country Singer Too
I'm a Country Singer.
Soon God will call me home to sing up there.
I'll sing along on those old country gospel songs--
But in the meantime I'll write and sing down here below.
I'll write my songs and sit in with any country band that will let me--
Because I love writing and I enjoy singing too.
I know I'm getting old and the younger crowd don't care for me.
Still my heart and soul is in Country.
I love singing about being down wrong,
And I love singing the old time gospel favorites like, "I saw The Light" and many others as well.
I just pray that God will take me home someday to join a Country band up there and sing country gospel all the time.
