I wonder where time went when I hear adults call me Mum
I wonder where time went when I have to scroll further down the list to find my year of birth
I wonder where time went when my menu selection no longer includes the fiery spice I used to enjoy

I wonder where time went......

I wonder where time went when I find myself buying sensible shoes and not the cutest pair I see
I wonder where time went when I kneel to pull weeds in the garden, and then I have to sit first to stand again
I wonder where time went every time I tell a great joke, only to be reminded it was funnier the first time I told it

I wonder......

I wonder where time went when I feel the little kiss and notice that beautiful baby smell of my grandchild
I wonder where time went when I get to school and the teacher refers to me as ma'am
I wonder where time went when I get into our practical car, and not one that is so loud it is considered illegal

hmm.......

I feeling good today and things still work
I have a beautiful family, great friends, a job, and a home,
I'm satisfied at the end of each day that I have achieved what I have, even though I took the longest possible route to do it

I wonder where time went.....
