I'm a Secret Shopper! You Can Be Too!

Deneale K. Williams
I am a secret shopper. I became one, because while I was telemarketing, the agency I was working for, was supporting a mystery shop company. This company was charging to sign up. Originally, they were charging $9.99 a month, and then $14.99 a month, and the latest was $99 or $149.

I was entertained by the fact that they were so costly, and this made me decide to do my own research and became a secret shopper.

I simply typed in the search bar secret shopper, and millions of links came up. I clicked, and read, and joined several for not one redcent. I have since been on several assignments and made a few extra bucks to put in my pocket via my pay pal account.

If places are telling you to pay to sign up, don't think that you have to. Sure, they can say to you, to be a gold club member, we need $19.99 or whatever they determine. But there is no need to do it.

There are agencies, many out there. Too many to list, actually. But I am a member in good standing with quite a few, and so long as when you respond to your shop with in depth details, you can keep doing it. You have to have a score of eight or above, to keep doing it. And it isn't hard to do at all.

When you go on your shop, look intensely. Study, and listen to people around you. Ask dumb questions, and see if the clerk, the sale person, the manager, any of them- get fed up with your questions. Sometimes they will. And more often then not, some know there are secret shoppers checking them out.

It isn't hard to do, and you already have to shop anyway, so why not sign up for something at the same time? Getting the brakes done on your car? Let's see, there's a shop here for a car repair shop. Perfect, get your brakes fixed, and get paid! How can you go wrong?

One that I am member in good standing with is: Sassie Secret Shopping Services. Before you ask, no I do not get credit for referrals, unfortunately. But there are many more out there, like I told you, so go do a search! Secret Shopping is fun, and of course, gets you a few extra bucks, and we can use a little more money! So why not give it a try. What have you got to loose?

The moral to the story, is you dont need to pay ANYONE for a job. Not the online ones, they are scams. The most you need to do is maybe BUY yourself a new out fit or shoes for a new job. And a few bucks for checking out places here and there, especially while you are already out, hey- why not?!

Sounds interesting ...I have always wondered why you have to pay to do a job for them?

Great article! I have also done this before and still do from time to time, if it fits my schedule. You are so right that it is unnecessary to pay to join any so-called secret shopper site. I have found that the free ones I signed up with are much better than any of the ones friends paid to join. :-)
