Image of the Beast ?

Outside of the Box

LarrWayne Po
If you are not confused yet, read this poem to get out of the box.

I am searching for the image,
I've heard so much about.

Where must I wander,

So I can cast a stare?

It isn't here
And it isn't there,
The image,
You search for.

It doesn't drift with the draft.
But it can seep deep
Into your wondering gaze.
Imagination can get trapped.
There is no one to praise,
Unless your tilt is zapped.

Are you impressed with the image
Of being praised,
For being sly
When you choose?
That's the name of the game;
Would you like to lose?

I am confused now
More than before.

What must I do?

Getting it out of your system
To want and love to lie,
Is at least a start.
Would you like to try?

I think so.

Don't lie with your neighbor
And refrain from fibs.
A created false image
Can leap from the lips,
Sneaking into various ears,
Causing unwanted splash,
That may leave a stain of tears,
While year after year,
The image is sought,
That can disappoint the seeker.

That's what I thought.

LarrWayne, AKA Quack Jack of many trades. If the educated do not educate others, the long term pay back will be "We are surrounded by the uneducated and they want to rule over us". Politically incorrect poem...  View profile
