Images of Time

I
Traces of lost and crippled time,

displayed the greatness of your people.

Forgotten dreams and damaged shrines,

evidence of adoration, neglected but truthful.

II

Breath taking and mystifying metropolis,

picturesque breeds of majestic nations.

More questions asked than answers found,

humming from the sites of excavations.

III

Stories of legends, myths and tragedies,

relics of the golden age of what was once.

Rhythm of your music are melodies that surrounds,

fragile pieces of memories and reverence.

IV

Ruins, temples, castles, tombs, and monuments,

are envious riches of iconic structures.

Ancient cities are culture's bewilderment,

glimpses of the past embracing the future.
