Imagination-Hell

One Moon

bw Frampton
Whispers

My feet across three
floors of this old house

I walk
unknowing of who is friend or foe
and not seeming to give a damn

The line of concern across
the desert that is my heart
has been blown away by dragon's breath
a moon ago

Beginning to feel forsaken -
Singing another's name into the wind
in a deadly lullaby
and hearing no reply but the haunting - mocking -
sounds of motors passing by

I am left to only dwell - casting myself
deeper into my imagination-hell
On my knees, begging for answers and redemption
through broken flesh and blood, yet
knowing that asking such a thing
shall bring vengeance upon myself

Oh, the changes that one moon can bring...
