Important Day and Overweight? Help Must Appear Slimmer Today

You have been eating a bit to much and exercising too little and are up a size in clothing. You've been considering what steps you need to take to loose this added weight when suddenly you are desperate. You've just received a last minute invitation to a business meeting, to a family reunion, to a corporate event, or even a blind date. What do you do?

1. First you must think thin. What?!? Think thin. Thinking fat will indeed project that attitude out to others and you will appear that way to others. We project emotions, attitudes, impressions and even our thoughts. We think our thoughts out loud. Consider the fact that others can perceive what you are thinking about themselves and what you are thinking about you. The way you stand, the way you smile, the way you dress can all project I am fat. Or the way you stand, walk, talk, and smile can project confidence and beauty. I am serious. Your attitude is more important than the best slimming undergarment (although they are great and I recommend getting one).

2. Get your hair done. Get a hair cut and style. If you already have a stylish cut that you enjoy and add some hair color. A couple of streaks of colors will add dimension to your hair style will really give your style that extra umph that it needs to look exceptional. If you are in need of a new look now may be the time to go for it. However, keep it mild..don't go over the edge. You are not trying to draw extra attention to your weight so keep some length and just add some flare.

3. Give your body a freshening: Give yourself a facial. A simple batch of oatmeal, olive oil and sugar massaged on your face can give you a fresh shine and a healthy countenance. Purchase a new lipstick. Get a manicure..or apply a fresh coat of clear nail polish. Make sure that you look cared for rather than uncared for and lazy. All of these details will conceal the extra weight gain.

4. Getting dressed: Choose clothing that fits. Do not wear tight clothing and do not wear baggy clothing. Choose an outfit that fits the setting and that fits you. Watch out for bulges. Choose undergarments that smooth and firm so that there are no extra bulges showing. Wearing layers can help you appear slimmer if the setting and weather fits wearing layers. Choose a suit jacket that fits. Black always makes you look slimmer as does skirts rather than pants if you are a woman. If you are attending the beach you may feel as if there is no hiding. But, you can always wear a wrap if you are a woman or if you are a man choose a nice looking "surfer" style shirt that matches your swim trunks. These shirts can get wet and dry quickly and do not cling.

WARNING: Applying even just a few of these suggestions should leave you feeling refreshed, healthy and young. With your hair and make-up and clothing chosen wisely you should stand out as beautiful and bright even intelligent rather than chubby and ten or more pounds over weight. You can do this with a positive attitude and looking great. Just remember after the event: get back to eating correctly and exercising. You had a great day of success..don't let it trick you into feeling satisfied with the extra weight.
