Impress Your Date on a Budget in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Sharie
My Boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years and we live in Kenosha, Wi. After a while, it feels like you do the same thing every time you go out. Whether it be going out to dinner, the movies, or bowling, things can get stale pretty quickly. I have listed several ideas below that will surely impress your date, and you won't even have to spend a lot of money.

1. Trolley- The Kenosha Trolley is a quirky thing to do on a date. You can sit in the back, cuddle in a seat together and look at the beautiful lake front. It's also very inexpensive, 25 cents for a single trip. You really can't go wrong.

2. Picnic- Visit Tenuta's Deli and pick up just the right things for a picnic on the lake front. Wine, cheese, fresh baked bread, sandwiches, and desserts. The food is to die for, and it will be much less expensive and much more romantic than going out for a fancy dinner.

3. Sunrise- Take your date for a walk on the beach. The sunrise is incredible when watching it over the glistening water. You could even pack a breakfast and eat it on the beach while you watch the sunrise.

4. Downtown Shopping- Walk the downtown streets near Kenosha's lake front. Peek into the antique stores and boutiques, stop for coffee, even visit the Toy Laboratory and play! You could spend the whole day downtown and have money left over to continue your date into the night.

5. The Drive-in Movie Theater- During the summer you can park out at the drive in movies. You get 2 movies for a very reasonable price. You can cuddle and snuggle in the privacy of your own vehicle.

6. Bike Ride- For all those active people out there, Kenosha has some great bike paths. Try out Petrifying Springs, the lake front, and the Kenosha Bike Trail. You can ride along together, enjoy the beautiful scenery and stop for a picnic if you like.

7. Drive-In Restaurant- We have a few drive in restaurants in Kenosha, that are inexpensive and romantic for a date, my favorites being Big Star and The Spot. You can order and eat in your car, listen to some romantic tunes, and chat. Go in the dark for even more privacy.

8. Hike- Take your date to Petrifying Springs for a hike. The springs are like mini water falls, and you will find them while hiking the trails. You will pass over some bridges and the river. It's very beautiful in all seasons.

9. Walk the Dogs- Take a trip to a local Humane Society and take the dogs for a walk. They will love you for it and you will feel good about yourself. Plus, it will be something different to do on a date. If you are a cat lover, you can take them into a play room and give them some attention.

10. Take a Tour- Visit the museum of Dinosaurs, Civil War Museum, Jelly Belly Factory, and many other historic places in Kenosha. The best thing is, most of them are free or require a small donation. Discover new things and have fun, all while on a budget.

Give these ideas a try! You are sure to have fun, no matter how much money you have!

These are great suggestions. If a couple really care about each other then money should not even matter.
