Impress Your Man This Valentines Day

Ferox
Valentines Day is a special day for those in relationships, an opportunity to express feelings and stir up romance. Women often have high hopes that their partner will have grand romantic plans for this day, but don't always remember that this day is an opportunity for them to be romantic too.

Although many consider men to be less romantic compared to women, it is probably more accurate to say that men don't talk about romantic things as much as women: they can, and often do, feel the same emotions. Sometimes they'd like to see a romantic gesture from you.

Food: The old saying goes that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. While not strictly correct in anatomical terms, it is close enough. All men have a favourite food, and if you are able to cook it for them, even if you only do it once, then it's very impressive. Whether it's a whole meal, or just a special dessert made with love and the intent to spoil, going out of your way to make something special is a romantic gesture that your man will remember every year.

Massage: Believe it or not, men get tense too, especially if they have been working out. A scalp, back or chest massage will be greatly appreciated (if nothing else, it's attention and affection). A spontaneous massage may even earn you one in return!

Lingerie: Let's be honest ladies, romance gets physical at some point or other, so why not find yourself something new and sexy to surprise your man. It's Valentines Day after all, go have some fun and be confident.

Wax: If you're getting the lingerie, you might as well get a wax too. Be brave and go somewhere you've never gone before. If you've never had a wax, try doing your legs (remember that beauty is pain). If you already wax your legs, move further up. You know it's going to take him by surprise, and you know he's going to be impressed.

Beer: It's not very romantic, but the other old saying goes "To impress a man: show up naked and bring beer." There are gourmet beers available, and even sample packs if you're of the opinion that 'beer is just beer' and wouldn't know the difference between a stout and an ale. If the beer is a gesture of love, then it's still appropriate for Valentines Day.

Valentines Day is a day for loving gestures. Although it's perfectly reasonable to anticipate something sweet from your man, don't forget to put in some effort for him too!

  • Men may not talk about romance, but they can still feel romantic.
  • If beer is a gesture of love, then it's still appropriate for Valentines Day.

I had to smile at the "old saying" regarding beer. My fear would be he'd get more excited for a taste of the beer than a taste of me.

Very enjoyable article...and a good reminder that Valentine's Day is not just for women.
