Ways to Improve Your House and Your Living Space

Moving house can be costly, time consuming and stressful, so why bother? Have you ever considered or thought about improving instead of moving, if so then here are a few ways you can improve your home or property:

1. Have under floor heating. To make your home or property more cosy have you though about having and installing either a water or electric under floor heating system.

2. Go up into the loft. If you are looking for more space but don't want or have the space to extend then why not move onwards and upwards. Convert your loft space into useable and even a liveable space.

3. Go down to improve. If perhaps you don't like the idea of going upwards to improve your home then why not go down, convert your cellar, or dig down into your foundations to create some extra space.

4. Replace or fix up your bathroom. Just smartening up your titles or your bathroom suite can make all the difference, so improve your home by giving the bathroom/s a bit of TLC.

5. What About replacing or having new windows. Get more natural light into your house, and get it looking better from both the inside and outside with new or replaced windows.

6. How about fixing up your kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the home so why not fix up your kitchen, be it with a new lick of paint, some new cupboards or even some new door handles!

7. What about a garden room, or a conservatory? If you need or would like some more space then why not add on a conservatory or garden room to your house - Remember to get the necessary planning permissions first.

8. How about improving your houses energy efficiency. Make it a more energy efficient home to live in, If one of the reasons you want to move is because your energy bills are through the roof, then how about making your home or property more efficient - this could be cheaper than moving, and you have lots of options available to your from solar panels, to solar heating, to wood burning stoves and other appliances.

Remember to think outside the box when improving your home or property. Release and unlock its full potential - and always remember to seek professional advice if you are unsure on or about anything.

    These are great tips. I moved into a newly constructed home in 2007, but my husband and I have still added a few cosmetic touches of our own. I'd also like to tile the kitchen and bathrooms.
