Reading without glasses can do wonders for your eyesight. Naturally, there is no one size fits all cure for better vision. If some of the words are blurry, just read at a slower pace than normal, to give your weak eyes time to focus on the words properly. Chances are after a couple of days of reading without glasses, your reading speed will be back to normal, and you may discover, that now your weaker eye can read the words much better than before.

When reading books, get large print books, instead of the small print versions that may require reading glasses. After a week to a month, you may discover to your surprise, that you can now read small print newspapers and dictionaries, without glasses.

Provide proper lighting for reading books and newspapers. Again, do not compensate for bad lighting by grabbing glasses. (Put the crutches away and get up and walk). Getting stronger and stronger reading glasses, as time progresses, may lead you into a dependency that could lead you to being almost blind.

Do not compensate for tired eyes by grabbing reading glasses, unless it is urgent. Get plenty of sleep to rest your eyes. Shut your eyes when you are waiting for the next screen to load, if your eyes are fatigued. Eating one square meal a day, may improve your vision.
