Improve Your Search Engine Ranking with Authority Links

Roger C.
The way search engines decide how websites rank has been evolving since the beginning. In the beginning, search engines only looked at the website itself. They would analyze your keywords and your contents, and based on that, they would determine your position on their listings. Many people started stuffing their websites and title tags with too many keywords in order to rank higher, so search engines reacted and now they don't put a lot of importance in this.

Then the search engines looked at incoming links to websites. Again many clever webmaster started doing reciprocal linking; that is, they would have a link to a page that has a link t them. This practice became so widespread that search engines reacted and once again they wouldn't take into consideration reciprocal links that much anymore.

Now Google puts a lot more weight to one-way back links. This tells search engine bots that your website is so good that other websites point to it without having a link of their own in that webpage. To further improve your rankings, there are some characteristics of the websites that contain your links.

They have to be authority websites that are highly relevant to the content you are offering, pages with high traffic and rich content which don't contain many other outgoing links. These kind of pages will provide enough weight to improve your SEO efforts.

In order to get links from high quality authority sites it is important that you provide quality content in your website. If you have quality content, then the users from the authority website will appreciate it. Time in the internet is also important for a site to be considered an authority. Search engines love websites that have been around for years providing quality content that is reliable and updated regularly.

You may also want to negotiate with popular websites using the same or similar keywords you are using. You can pay them for they to build a link for you. It is a fast way to get you noticed. In order to find good websites that you want to buy back links from, you can use Google. By placing the line "allintitle:" followed by the terms you are searching for you will get relevant pages for the title you want.

Once you found websites you like, contact the webmaster and let him know that you would like to place a link on their websites. Then ask if they are willing to do it and how much will it cost. You can always negotiate to get a price that will satisfy both parties and you'll get a new link.
