Improving Upon Perfection: Alberto V05's Strawberries and Cream Conditioner

Sinopa Brown
Being a cheapskate and a beauty product lover doesn't seem like the kind of thing that could go hand in hand, but, somehow, I have found a way to make them blissfully coexist. One of my favorite products in the world is Alberto V05's Strawberries and Cream Conditioner. For .99 cent a bottle this product is 15 ounces of scented buttery heaven. It works wonders for daily conditioner washing, is my staple moisturizer, and is a life saver as a detangler for my natural kinky-curly hair. As a double usage gal, I also use it as a body shaving cream and as an in shower body rinse when I want to feel a little smoother and add moisture to my skin. In all, there are few complaints to be had about this product except two major issues I will have to ask Mr. Alberto to address.

My first issue is the scent. Strawberries and Cream has a lovely scent, unlike any many other hair product I have ever encountered. However, the scent lingers for no more than 38 seconds after it is in the hair. That is unfortunate, because this is one of the better smelling cheapie conditioners on the market; to be honest, it's one of the better smelling conditioners period, but the smell has no staying power. The unsubstantial perfume added to this hair product doesn't do this wonder conditioner any justice.

The next and biggest issue that I have with this product is epic- It doesn't come in jars. Seriously, the product is one that is deserving of its beauty, and considerable usage, to be observed in jars. Conditioners that are in jars are typically thicker than other products and are easier to use liberally, rather than in its current bottle with small squirt tops. In a jar, this product could be used easily, more frequently, and quite frankly, heavier, and could surely fetch more money.

In all V05 is an awesome product, but with some tweaking could become my super product. In fact, if V05 Strawberries and Cream came in a large, but pretty jar with a more intense scent, it could also double as my perfume and possibly a lotion. A cheap diva's dream. Now how is that for .99 cent?
