So here goes, I will attempt to resolve a few issues with the previewer and CFL product file uploads.
Problem: 1 - Previewer - You have downloaded the original previewer - You install it and it tells you that it did not upload correctly (VISTA SHMISTA).
Fix: A download box will appear which asks you if you want to download the previewer with the correct settings - do that download it with the correct settings; it will upload to your computer correctly.
Problem: 2 - Previewer - 1st off I would say it is better to keep the old version for now: But if you have insisted on clicking YES to installing the newer version and you find that you get an error.
Fix: just close the login and try again - it should update just fine - if not repeat the close login and open login repeat clicking YES to install the update until it does update.
Problem 3: Previewer uploading your derived product to IMVU - You find that you cannot find your derived product, it disappeared! You can't find the products file... it isn't there.
Fix: (NOTE: THIS USUALLY CURES CFL ERRORS TOO) Simply search your system for the CFL file you just created, click on the start symbol (Bottom Left Corner) and paste your CFL file into the search bar at the bottom and click the search tool. You should see a list of locations one or maybe two.
VISTA has kindly moved your file to the USERS directory in most cases. This is the location you will find your products file.
If that does not work - simply make a directory on your desktop and call it IMVU PRODUCTS2 or whatever. When you are saving a derived product, you will need to right click and 'SAVE AS' to your new directory on your desktop, in my case 'IMVU PRODUCTS 2'.
Then simply upload to your catalog at IMVU from there.
NOTE: THIS SHOULD WORK FOR XP, VISTA - Not too sure about Windows7 just yet, this is a whole new ball game which I will report on later.
But for now the above glitches seem to be the most common issues, and for now here I have provided an answer.
It is worth noting that the previewer has had this flaw for quite some time, there are a number of tutorials and advice gossip in the IMVU forums, where you can find some valuable information.
