In Act of Desperation, Obama Exploits Cancer Patient Natoma Canfield to Sell Obamacare...and Lies About Her, Too
Natoma Canfield is a 50-year-old who was diagnosed with cancer at 34; while cancer free for a while, she was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is now back in the hospital. Late last year, she authored a pleading letter to Obama, telling him of her insurance cost woes and her inability to continue paying for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance due to increasing premiums. She was to have introduced Obama at the aforementioned event in Strongsville, but due to her unexpected hospital admission, her sister filled in for her. And when Obama started speaking, the lies began flying out in a way that makes you wonder if he-and other elitist Democrats like him-really thinks the average American is an idiot whom he can fool all the time.
The allegation put forth by Obama and Canfield is that Obamacare must be passed, or other Americans will be denied health care, affordable and otherwise, like what's apparently occurred in Canfield's case. Canfield's sister even claimed that Natoma was worried about losing her house due to crushing costs from her health care costs and not having insurance. I don't know what's going on in the minds of Americans like Canfield-who seems entitlement-minded to the extreme-but either she's lying along with Obama, or she's just a pawn in his scheme to emotionally pressure Americans into supporting Obamacare. Either way, both he and she are untruthful in their claims.
A Fox News report-good old, FNC; without them, no truth would emerge since the liberal outlets refuse to bring you this reality!-divulged that Canfield was in no danger of losing her house at all because the Cleveland Clinic (her place of treatment) is looking to offer her financial assistance. The Obama and Canfield myth to drive up hysteria sure plays into the hands of the liberal ideologues whose sick joy it is to spread the propaganda that Americans are dying left and right without insurance, but reality is something totally different. As people who are intellectually honest will recognize, even if you have no insurance in the US, you still have emergency rooms, lots of different government aid programs (like Medicaid!), and, failing that, charitable assistance from non-profits. According to the Clinic's executive director of patient financial services, Canfield is currently being considered for either Medicaid, charity care provided by the Clinic itself, or, failing that, "eight to 10" other options to pay for her costs. Clearly, this will shatter the widely held liberal belief of ideological fanaticism that the US is a cruel country that lets its citizens just die in the street without health insurance...but, you know, a lack of facts has not been known to ever stop liberals...although it should!
Another galling lie made implicit from Obama's stop in Strongsville is the Obama Administration declaration that his Obamacare would lower health care costs and also increase competition! But that's just plain old BS of the highest magnitude since Obamacare won't allow the best way of accomplishing both goals, which is the ability for Americans to buy insurance across state lines. Now that is the only guarantee to really create competition and thus the ensuing, lower costs...it's just basic Economics 101. Yet Obamacare will exclude that, which is why the GOP has been so principled and loud in their correct opposition to it, seeing as allowing Americans to buy insurance across state lines is actually a plan of theirs. One more thing, the Obamacare bill will ensure that more insurance companies will go bankrupt, though, as it will dictate that insurance companies won't be permitted to discriminate on the basis of preexisting conditions. While that may sound great in an idealistic sort of way, insurance companies are a cold, hard business, and not letting them discriminate will put them on the hook for every serious illness, driving up their liability until it may get impossible to do business.
If Obama has to resort to using 50-year-old cancer patients in hospitals, completely lying about their situation to make it seem gloomier than it really is, and then having the final gall to use that to fear monger the need to pass his piece of legislation, then you know the legislation is a bad deal in every way. If it wasn't, then Obama wouldn't have to resort to such tactics of deceit and extreme desperation involving emotionalism to sell his case. He would be able to simply tell you straightforwardly what's going on, but he won't because he can't. If he told the truth, no one would support his tripe.

Post a CommentI feel much the same as Robert below. I'm sick of the O.... O I can't stands no more. But I love your take on everything.
I try to read and listen to all your segments but while listening to the voice portion of Obama on this piece I was suddenly struck with the need to vomit. to no fault of yours I think I have taken as much of the president as I can for now, sorry maybe tomorrow.
Strong points.
Your info is right on and truthful and I know of no one that likes Obamacare yet. I travel in many circles and it is very unpopular. Been a nurse for 44 years, now retired and I would be quitting my profession if I was still working. Wait until the river flows for a while, the rocks will create the white water for this event.
Good job, Mark. If the time for talking is over, Obama needs to end these demagogic anecdotes?
Good Points, All!
Cut throats using lowlife tactics. You've got that right, Marc. Obamacare means less quality medical care for EVERYBODY, although not everybody gets that.
If Obamas healthcare plan is good it would have passed already. Soon the 1st quarter of the year is over and still the american people cannot have a meeting of their minds to push through a plan that will work for everybody.
Hi Sandy! It's not every day that a kitty cat asks me a question, so I'll bite. First of all, it's incorrect to call the fact that Obama's health care plan is unpopular merely an "idea." It's a cold, hard fact, backed up by polling! For your benefit, Sandy: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/september_2009/health_care_reform
I hope you will enjoy reading the statistics behind the FACT that Obama's health care plan is unpopular as much as I have enjoyed posting it for your benefit. Meow!!!
So, Marc, where do you get the idea that Obama's healthcare plan is unpopular? Is that your opinion? Everyone I know wants the plant to go through...
