In All Your "Doing" Accomplish Something!

1. Sometimes to accomplish more, you need to "do" less.- I walked a very long way today looking for a place, but didn't find it. That and my daily read and notes are all I "did" today. I thought that as I sat, exhausted after my walk. Then, I began to "process" the things I saw, and how they will fit into the plan. I forget that sometimes, when it seems like you're not doing anything at all, your mind and spirit are actually working. Mind must rest-hard as that is to accomplish at times. Spirit never rests-according to our definition of "rest." Spirit becomes quiet and is at peace-that's rest, but spirit is always awake, alert, and working-even when we don't perceive it. So, I think I did, after-all, accomplish some things.

2. Only those things sown to spirit truly last. Jesus said it this way, "Those who drink of this water will thirst again, but he who will drink from the water I will give him, shall never thirst again." So it is with us, because we are eternal beings. We sleep, we get tired again, we eat and drink, we get hungry and thirsty again, we bathe, we must wash again-in this Las Vegas heat, that's an all day thing, too. But things sown to the spirit-like the moments-will last. I can't think of a whole lot of things I sowed to spirit today, other than my prayer, some blessings over people, and a moment. Someone asked me for spare change-which I have none of-and I have to keep reminding myself that I do have something to give, even with nothing in my pocket. So I prayed that someone would stop and give the man a $100 dollar bill. Thank you, Daddy for answer to prayer. I hope he enjoys it. "He who drinks of the water I will give him will never thirst again" It gets easier and easier to pray for someone with a need when I don't have the material he/she needs, because of His Word that I've sown to my spirit. It's a dual action thing.

3. Safety and Security in the hands of Jesus...That says two things to me. First, there are ten thousand angels around me to minister and protect all day, every day. That's an incredible revelation about God's love for me. It's mind-blowing, really. I know that no matter what, I'm going to be okay. Secondly, it tells me that, you can run, you can try to hide, you can even cover your ears with your hands, stick your tongue out, and "la, la, la, la, la, I can't hear you", all you want to. When Jesus says, "Once you're in my hand, none can snatch you out of it", or "Once you're mine, that's it, it's forever, its forever. You may as well hush up, put your hands up, give up, and just praise Him for not giving up on you, because He wins every time.

When I wrote my essay this morning, I ended it with "I'm about to have a wonderful day"...I didn't feel quite settled-like I'd finished thinking the whole thing through, though. However, while I was "doing" nothing but walking...Thank you, Jesus. I'm sure I'm about to have a wonderful evening.
