In apologetics for the Bible - two

I read some of the articles under this title Outrageous or contradictory quotes from the Bible in Helium with great puzzle. Those who believe quoted the Bible, those who do not also quoted the Bible. The irony is those who do not believe claims that they know Bible better than those who believe. One boasted with deep knowledge of Hebrew. One quoted a few Bible passages and concluded that they are contradicting with each others. Thus, it is unworthy to believe in.

One even claimed he researched the history of Christianity. He knows much of the Bible. He concluded in his 250 words article that there are errors in the Bible and not trustworthy. One went deep into the Biblical background to argue on the human mistake in cannoning the Bible.

Truly, we must applaud these great researcher, professor and knowledgeable people in Biblical studies. Some are shrewd by not writing too much. For they know the more they say, the more mistake they will make. Some writes longer and makes many mistakes. For they really know nothing about Bible.

I do not mind if one start with a stand as a non believer and therefore do not believe in the Bible. But it is blasphemous to claim that you know so much of the Bible and you find it wrong here and there, and those who believe in it should have a second thought or abandon the faith.

This reminds me of the scripture in Matthew 4:1-11 when Jesus was tempted in the desert. It seems Satan knows the Bible well because he quoted it repeatedly when speaking to Jesus. But knowing the Bible is all Satan has, he does not know the meaning of the Bible.

Bible is the Word of God. And John says the Word is God. John 1:1. Since Bible is the Word and God, we should all treat Bible with awe and respect.
