In the Dark of the Light: A Poem of Inspiration for Writers

They said that I couldn't.

I did.

They laughed at me.

I wrote along, happily.

I ignored all of the negative.

I love and I have these words to give.

A positive attitude becomes a plus.

Magnified a trillion times by sweet love.

Words poured forth from my soul.

All of the wisdom and fear that they would hold.

I might not know complicated prose.

Let's just see where this goes.

If you are reading.

You are believing.

In you and I.

And in all that we will ever write.

Who says that poetry has to be confusing?

It is perfect, as long as you are understanding.

In the dark of the light.

All is quite right.

I jot down another page.

And, set the poetic stage.

For a magnificent ending.

One that is only just the beginning.

The brilliance shines forever strong.

My dear friend, write on.

We all joyfully read.

In you, we do believe.

In each letter, every word.

Your heart is heard.

Our eyes delight.

In the dark of the light.
