1. People are multifaceted.

2. Generally, people have the capacity to do good.

3. People have a tendency to surprise.

4. When a person achieves respect from another, it's often appreciated wholly.

5. Pride doesn't elude anyone, but pride doesn't have to consume everyone--and some of us realize that.

6. When people are called to action, to support and defend one another in times of need, people generally respond.

7. The difference of opinions and the progress made as a result of combining different elements of those varying opinions makes for unique results.

8. Negotiating, while often a shady tactic of snarling politicians to get their way, can also have its serious and long-lasting benefits.

9. The human brain is the most complex computer in the entire world. Which means millions of ideas constantly being put to use in some way.

10. There are thousands of religions, hundreds of races, two genders, many different walks of life, billions of individual scenarios and trillions of thoughts that have collectively been thought through history--yet we are all one species, and there is a fundamental, mutual understanding of that.
