The DS Lite's screens flip open and include a writing stylus tool that is used for most of the games that are compatible with the system. It's great how the screens flip open because this provides protection to the screens itself and minimizes the chances of getting it scratched or even cracked. The gaming console itself is very sleek and slick designed. The whole system is in no way comparable with the other handheld gaming consoles that have come out already.
There are many perks to owning a DS Lite. For instance, the Nintendo company is now offering free game demos that are available for anyone to download onto their handheld device. You simply go to any of the participating retail stores such as Gamestop, Target, and EB Games, which serve as DS Download Stations. Once you're in the store, you turn on your DS Lite and select DS Download Play. After that, a list of free demo games will appear and you can select one. The demo games can be played until the DS Lite is switched off. This is a really nice feature because it's so innovative and fresh. It allows users to sample games, consequently resulting in them buying the game if they truly just can't get enough of it. This feature allows users to take advantage of the wide array of games available so that they won't have to spend money on a game that only leaves the user unsatisfied and disappointed.
Another great feature of the DS Lite is the Picto-Chat, which is a wireless chatting program. Chat rooms can hold up to 16 people and can be used to send messages or drawings doodled with the writing stylus. However, as with everything, there are certain limitations. You can only picto-chat with people that are within range of your DS Lite. The maximum distance is 65 feet. The Wi-Fi Connection that was incorporated in the DS Lite system also allows users to battle against each other in multi-player games. The process is similar to downloading the free game demos. So if you or your friend has a multi-player, you can beam it to each other and play versus. This concept is great because it doesn't require both parties to have the game itself in order to play against each other.
What I truly dislike about the Nintendo DS Lite though is the fact that the system runs on army time. Of course, I wouldn't complain about this if there were a way to change it from running on 24 hours to 12 hours. However, with so many perks to the system, I don't mind much about the time not running on 12 hours!
So if you're planning to buy a new game console for yourself or any of your loved ones, you should consider getting a Nintendo DS Lite. It provides mindless hours of fun and it's a great bargain with all the great features! The Nintendo DS Lite has revolutionized the whole gaming perspective in a positive way.

Post a CommentThanks, my daughter wants one for her birthday and I didn't know too much about it.
Also, if you know how to keep DS roms, you could store up to 25 games. Wouldn't advise it though! Good write.
