In Eternity

Barbara Manogue-Kushnirov
Look on to eternity, our fellow man.
Dwindle and light the candle, mark it
with simplicity and mate. Where do I say
that you made a place for us today?
Hear the voice that shatters in the wind,
the immaculent touch of vigor spread evenly
like suddell butter. Where forth I go on and tinker
and tatter? You yet long for that forbidden trip that I
left behind. Heathen, you scoundrel, or is it a peasant,
I see standing before me today. Blast the blaze set before
me and mine eyes, and keep the flower blooming until the
day we die. Grateful, you tell I, knowing always its a lie!
Be gracious, steadfast ----and warm your wishes to the very last .
