IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS

Kathryn Neff Perry
Have you ever felt like that? Thanks, I think? My computer had been "on the operating table" for over a week. That's like a golfer with no clubs, or a cook with no stove.
Every other day I called to see when my computer would be coming home. Each time I talked to him it was a different story. But the same story I heard was "I'm not actually there right now, but I will be, and I'll take a look at your computer." When I left it early Monday morning, I asked him if he had an idea when I would get it back. I explained I'm a writer and need it. He nodded and smiled and said, "I should be able to take a look and fix it by this afternoon."
I sat patiently, the first day, by the phone waiting for a phone call that never came. Each day I grew more impatient. When I did get the call, my computer was ready, I eagerly picked it up.
I came home, knowing I was so far behind, but trusting everything would work out. It always does.
I booted it up! And shed a tear. He had restored it to a time, probably several years ago. I had to re-load almost everything. My documents were all in a different format. I took a deep breath and pushed myself away from my desk. This can't be Lord.
Well, I guess I did pray to get my computer back, didn't I? I guess, be careful what you pray for?
That was last night. Today, I am thankful to have my computer back. I'm thankful the sun is shining. I'm thankful for my health. I'm thankful we will be surrounded the next couple days by people who love us and cherish time together with us.
I'm sorry Lord, you tell us I Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always;pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
The time without my computer was wonderful. I finished two sewing projects and read a book. Thank you Lord for the peace and solitude that time provided.
Yes, Lord, Thanks, I Know.

Yes I believe in everything giving thanks to God, even though sometimes I might not feel like it.

Thanks Cindy. I think the frustration was that he kept telling me "it will be done today" and I finally picked it up a week and a half later. Have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving my sweet friend.
    Love you
