Flowers are ever present at any occasion. A wedding is not an exception. Flowers liven up the atmosphere with their vibrant color and various shapes. In weddings, they denote a feeling of festivity, celebration, and prosperity - appropriate for an event when two separate lives are joined together. The belief that flowers hold hidden meanings was started by the ancient Greeks, who developed "The Language of Flowers."

In the special occasion of weddings, one of the common favorites is the gold silk wedding flowers. They can be found in Asian Lanterns, Boyle Silk, Floral Supply, Kincade Studios, and Outback Boutique. Gold silk flowers are used during festivities, a category that weddings rightfully belong to. The flowers may be quite pricey but grand events deserve to be spent much.

Wedding flowers are synonymous to the most beautiful woman during weddings, the bride. Gold silk wedding flowers can compliment the bride and her dress, but as a general rule, the bride's flowers must not clash with her gown. The location or theme of the wedding is another thing to be considered. The flowers must blend well with the chosen theme. Other couples want to be different, however. In this case, the wedding flowers can provide a perfect contrast to the location or theme. This can provide an equally stunning effect to the occasion.

The bride is never without her bridal bouquet. A wedding being a very special affair; it is only natural that the bride has the most beautiful and elegant bouquet. The groom can have his boutonniere with the type of flower similar to those of the bride's, yet distinctive at the same time. The maid of honor and other wedding participants can use an entirely different type of flower. The size, however, can be similar to that of the bridal bouquet.

There are different kinds of bridal bouquets to choose from. One type of bridal bouquet is the cascade. As the name suggest, this is a flowing bouquet held in the crook of the arm. The bouquet may include a cluster of roses (or any other flower) tied tightly or loosely, depending on one's preference. Keep in mind, however, that the bridal bouquet must be made with the bride's physical attributes. For instance, a tall bride might prefer a cascading bouquet as this gives a more dramatic effect.

With weddings considered as once-in-a-lifetime events, some brides opt to keep their bridal bouquets as a memento. For the toss bouquet, more common and less expensive flowers are used.

Flowers, being naturally colorful, can be further accented with ribbons and trimmings. For decorative purposes, the flowers can be placed in fish bowls filled with water with their petals floating around. There are many more innovative ways of coming up with flower decorations fit for a wedding. All it takes is a little insight and a dash of creativity to create a wedding that is fun, fabulous, and pardon the pun, flowery.
