In Golden Slumber she lies,
Tears of sadness fill our eyes.
We know this is not what she wanted,
Such a great person that she was,
Her love never taunted,
As if it came from above.
She is resting now,
Enjoying her peace,
Such a long time coming,
She is now at ease.
So be happy for her,
For she is with God ,
Her pain no longer,
She lives within our hearts.

Post a CommentThis is lovely. Reminds me of one of my favorite old songs . . . and the line that says, "Smiles awake you when you rise." For there is always hope, at least eternal.
Yes, this is very beautiful and it touches me very much! It is sad, but it is good when someone is no longer in pain. Bless you!

This is really beautiful!!
Death has never been the end for me but the beginning to something new, when you think about it, we all experience death all the time in our own lives because something is always dying and being reborn, whether it's a relationship, job, goal, dream, etc. I love death because it's the beginning of a new life in everything, not just the physiacl body. Beautiful piece...thanks for sharing
