To share my feelings with,
I confided with the shadows of night...
Prayed to God for someone,
One I couldn't resist,
Every lover kissed was a waste of time...
And it just sets me to wondering,
How things might have turned out for you and I...
And as the stars give way to thunder,
The rain starts falling, and I begin to cry...
In my heart you never left me,
You're still somewhere deep inside...
I so wanted you to love me,
So, why'd you run away and hide?...
I think I deserve a reason why...
I can still remember it vividly,
The very day you said the words... goodbye...
Tears I cried unsparingly,
It's true that a part of you can die...
