On Friday, November 19 tickets for two popular Broadway shows In The Heights and Chicago will be going on sale at the Fisher Theatre box office, all Ticketmaster locations, by phone at 1-800-982-2787 and online at www.ticketmaster.com or www.broadwayindetroit.com.

In The Heights, winner of four 2008 Tony Awards® and the 2008 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album, is coming to Detroit's Fisher Theatre from February 1-13, 2011.

In The Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York's Washington Heights neighborhood - a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

Chicago will be at the Fisher Theatre March 8-13, 2011.

Chicago, which opened to rave reviews on November 14th, 1996, now has the distinction of being the second longest-running musical production currently playing on Broadway, the sixth longest-running production in Broadway history, and Broadway's longest-running musical revival... and shows no sign of ever slowing down!

Murder. Greed. Corruption. Violence. Exploitation. Adultery. Treachery. Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

Performance times for In The Heights and Chicago at the Fisher Theatre which is located at 3011 W. Grand Blvd., in Detroit, are Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m, Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m..
