In the image of his God
What universal power must he possess
Yet for all this great potential
As we journey through this life
How few of us discover what we have
If only we could realize who we are
Could reach, not for the Moon or some great Star
But could recognize within us
Lies a greatness yet unseen
The ability untapped to fulfill our greatest dream.
The boundaries of the human mind
Are limitless like Space,
A store house of experience and wealth
Yet for all this great potential
As we journey through this Life
How few of us explore our inner self.
As we move ever forward
In search of the unknown
Striving always to prove we're not alone
We should take the time to ponder
From whenst our knowledge comes
And to recognize within us
Beats the sound of distant drums
Drums that speak of our creation
And our journey throughout time,
And that many of our greatest gifts
Have been forgotten in our prime
Pushed aside and undiscovered
In our search for greater things
Many now are rediscovered
in an academic quest
For a greater understanding
Of the things of which we're blessed
So give no thought unto tomorrow
As you journey on you way
Sufficient are the problems of today
Pause now and consider
All the joys that outweigh strife
And remember, that tomorrow
Yes, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life"
