With a little planning, you can make sure that your Valentine gets a special greeting on their Valentines Day card. Seniors living in Loveland, Colorado have been stamping special Valentines messages on cards for years.

Thousands of people across America send their Valentines cards to Loveland every year so that their special person receives a card that's got a special message and cancellation from Loveland. Over the years, they've received cards from people in over 100 countries. The seniors in Loveland have been volunteering to stamp cards and postcards for years. Indeed, this is the 62nd year that they've been doing this for people from around the world.

What's this year's message? It says, "From mountains high to lakesides blue, this heart's from Loveland so dear one, to you!"

How to get this stamped on your envelopes
Anyone can use this free service and here's how to do it. Address your Valentines Day cards and put on the right amount of postage as if you were mailing it from your home to your Valentine. Now take those cards and put them in a larger envelope.

Visit your local Post Office and make sure to put the right amount of postage on the larger envelope that contains all of the Valentines Day cards and postcards that you want stamped. When in doubt? Stick an extra stamp on it.

Deadlines to make sure your Valentine is delivered on time
There are deadlines that you should be aware of if you want your specially stamped Valentine to be delivered by Valentines Day.

If your Valentines card will be delivered to a location outside of the United States, your card must be received in Loveland, Colorado by Monday, February 4th.

If your card will be sent to an address within the continental United States, it must be received in Loveland by Saturday, February 9th.

Of course, if you're running close to those deadlines, you can always pay extra postage to get your cards to Loveland to receive their special holiday stamp. The Post Office will be accepting delivers of cards sent to them by Priority Mail, which takes 1 to 2 days to get to Loveland, or Express Mail Service, which takes 2 to 3 days to get to Loveland.

Colorado residents get a special treat - they may not have to mail their cards to Loveland. They can drop them off at any King Soopers or City Market grocery store that has a special Loveland Valentine Re-Mailing box. Simply drop your stamped, addressed card in the box and it will be taken to the Loveland Post Office for you.

    My mom had done this since I was a little girl! It was always so special to receive this "Special" Valentine's Day card. Since she has passed, I've continued the tradition with my siblings and all those near and dear! Our family loves these! Thanks to all the Lovely, Loveland Seniors!
