In Memory of My Sister Darlene

I was one of seven weary branches, dangling from a tree

All of us were searching for, love, peace and security

The tree has many branches, some hang higher some hang low

Many have fallen from above and even some below

But of those seven branches, I would be the first to fall

I hung there waiting for my time, when Jesus came to call.

I am at home in Heaven now,so happy and so bright

There is a perfect beauty, in His everlasting light

My pain and grief is over, my sadness now has passed

I now have peace forever, in Heavens home at last

As I look down from my new home, the tree below I see

It has some braches teetering, Will they end up with me?

There is much more work for all of you, to do before you fall

It's up to you to help the tree, continue to grow tall.

You all know there are forces, that has shaken up the roots

deprived the tree of nouishment, and tries to spoil the fruits

Support the tree with all your heart, so gentle as a dove

Let it drink your words of kindness and feed it with your love,

Do it now while there is time, do not stand idly by

As some branches become weaker and the tree begins to die

There are many generations, waiting for a chance to glow

Make sure the trees foundations strong, so they can bud and grow

I will watch you all from Heaven and when all your works complete

Me and all the other branches, will be here for you to greet.

Never for a second, will we be far apart

For I have left with every branch, a portion of my heart.

I was one of seven branches, dangling from a tree

I was the first to take the fall, but now I am set free

That was beautiful. I have to admit it made me cry.
