"In Remembrance of Little Danielle"

Lois Collis

What a most angelic smile

and glimmering eyes of youth

A sweetest hint of heaven

Evidence of "God's" eternal proof

Her laughter oh, so melodious

the innocent sound so sweet

a little girl so vibrant

a heart that felt so deep

This little girl she dreams

of what her future just may hold

The promise that "God" has made her

but this world was just so cold

She dreams of love and marriage

and of the life that she could have led

The one that she was promised

as she slept there in her bed

Her dreams they did come true

we have to believe it was so

for who could ever provide her a boundless future

than the one who embraces her youthful soul?

Her angelic smile

it beckons, to all who may beg to see

that it still exists within us

her youthful grin will forever be

She sits upon the "Father's" lap

her arms softly float about his head

He embraces the angel he reclaimed

his voice, but a whisper as this to her he said...

I have many dreams for you

and each one shall come true

whatever you shall ask for

this my gift to you

You my daughter "Danielle"

were just a loan unto the world

the proof that I existed

and that the world I created

still held something good

The clouds I created

and the deepest waters blue

the world was only the beginning

of what I hoped for them-and dreams I had for you

My promise is like the rainbow

it's radiance just a touch away

It's promise a reminder

that dreams are real, and yet not far away

You sit here on my knee

and I can't help but to remember

why I gave life to a world

who turned their hearts away from me

Innocence still exists

it's such a pleasure just to see

that all I have created was worth it

and everything the world is now not, was simply meant to be

"Danielle" my little angel, you are to me

the perfection that I hoped for

in a world of hate and suffering

so now I bring you safely back to me

I will ease the hearts of those who loved you

I shall give you wings of Gold

to flutter quietly above those

who truly loved you so

With each and every flutter

the promise to all shall come true

for all that they shall ask for

I will provide to them, through you

Your golden wings they glitter now

the way it was meant to be

You will now provide healing

to all who are still in need

You will reveal to them the truth of my promises

that dreams really do come true

that anything is possible

for all who have not forgotten me

The moral of this story

Should not be hard to know

For a little girl was given her promise

So the "Lord" could let all know

He creates his little angels

He gives them life to show

That miracles and dreams do happen

If we just believe it's so

He's lends us little "Danielle's"

To teach us how to love

To give us some comfort

If we just trust him above

Her golden wings they flutter

In never ending glee

For now she giggles softly

And she sits upon "his" knee

To him she smiles and whispers...

Thank you for my golden wings

Thank you for life eternal

And for fulfilling all my dreams

Thank you for my mom and daddy

And my baby brother's too

Thank you for giving them comfort

When their days are filled with gloom

Thank you "Dear Lord Jesus"

For my wings of purest gold

Forgive the one's who hurt us

For they can't help they are so cold

Thank you "Dear Lord Jesus"

For my wings of purest gold

For making dreams really happen

In a world that truly just don't know

That this world will not last forever

It is just a gift to all-just a simple loan

Until their dreams too come true

Oh yes they too will flutter

When they receive their new wings of gold...

Thank you everyone, this is a poem about a true story.
The little girl was abducted and murdered.
The story broke my heart so much, that I wrote about it.
Thank you for the positive feeback.
    Hugs
