It is also a day to honor those left to remember
WWII, Vietnam, or that cold cruel day in December
Memorial Day is the day to remember the sacrifices made
To remember the ultimate prices that were paid
Our service men and women are more than just soldiers in a war
Freedom for us is exactly what they are fighting for
Yet freedom is not free numerous lives are lost
These brave men and women, however, give it their all no matter what the cost
So on Memorial Day let us all take the time to remember those heroes so true
Because they are the reason there is freedom for me and you
May God bless our veterans who have gone on before and the ones left! Thank you for all you have done for this country! We appreciate you!
