In Three Years Time: Politics, Internet, Environment and Employment

Google, 2012 Prediction, Next Presidential Election, Telecommuting Jobs

Ranee Wright
What does the future hold three years from now? Here are Google's goals, 2012 prediction, next presidential election 2012, telecommuting jobs and other insight into what you can expect in three years time.

Internet and mobile phone predictions

Google may attain worldwide domination in the mobile phone environment. John Herlihy, European Director of Google's online sales, said Google is focusing on mobile device capabilities because they will be more ubiquitous than the desktop PC.

In three years time, people will realize the cataclysmic 2012 prophecy was simply a prediction that does not come to fruition. Similar to the Y2K scare and end of the world hype, this too shall pass. The 2012 film came out on DVD and Blu-Ray on March 2, 2010.

Even fewer people will have a home phone number in three years. With the options of dry loop, satellite, cable internet and mobile phones with increasingly powerful internet tools, people are hanging up home phones for good.

2012 predictions that will have an impact on 2013

We will have a new President of the United States, following the next presidential election, 2012. Chances are President Barack Obama will run for a second term. As for Sarah Palin, I refuse to even go there except to say, "Please, no!"

Another political 2012 prediction: Republicans may dominate the Senate in 2012 if they win in 2010. If Republicans gain the Senate in 2010, they will hold it easily in 2012. Democrats will be defending 23 seats in 2012 and this vulnerability could lead to a Republican filibuster-proof Senate.

The environment and telecommuting

My hope is that more Americans and United States corporations go green and take advantage of alternative energy sources. Solar panels, 'green' buildings, wind generated energy, and expanding telecommuting jobs are just a few examples of actions we can take to become more environmentally friendly.

Sorry I do not have any resources for telecommuting jobs that you can start now from the comfort of your home; I wish I did. Most lucrative work from home opportunities can be found at local corporations and small businesses. While you have the capability to telecommute, generally, they still expect you to be in the office unless you have a good reason for working from home. I hope telecommuting jobs evolve even more in three years time.

Interesting...I like exploring the possibilities..hung up my "home phone" 5 years ago, so I'm ahead of the curve! But weren't we supposed to have floating cars now? As for the predictions about big Republican gains...not so fast. I think that wave is going to crest before it even actually fully materializes..

It will be nice to see the day when they actually put political party lines aside and work together to get things done rather than playing the blame game. Nobody wins when they play the blame game, they just waste time and taxpayer's money.

I've been waiting for those telecommuting jobs to appear for a long time.
