In My Travels

Jill P. Viers
I haven't published a poem for awhile, so I thought I'd throw one out there. I have actually been working on a book of poetry...hopefully, I will get it published soon. Hope you enjoy the poem and thanks for reading!

I traveled a million miles,
and this is what I found.
What works for you may not for me,
not just one way is sound.

It makes no difference to me
whether it's black, white, or gray.
Who you are and what you do -
that's not for me to say.

I may respectfully disagree at times
but not to bring you harm.
Our differences in life can be
what lead to all its charm.

Great poem to tell us we can't pick or choose anyone else or their destiny. Though it would be nice to do so.
