Inauguration Ceremony in Albuquerque, NM

If you'd like to begin Black History Month a few days early by celebrating one of the greatest events in Black History, head on over to the Sheryl Williams Stapleton African American Performing Arts Center for a family-friendly event that celebrates the inauguration of Barack Obama, our first African-American president coming into office. Tickets can be bought at Isshin Ryu Karate Club at 1314 Gibson SE, just west of University Blvd. Tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for children. Come dressed in your evening attire and be ready for the amazing performances from artists such as Racine Kreyol and the Afro-Caribbean Dancers of Haiti. The event will be held at the new African American building at the New Mexico Fairgrounds on January 20th. Food will also be provided.
