The powerful rays
Of the painfully bright sun
Eclipse through my window
Early this morning
Awakening me
From a restless slumber
Radiating throughout
The entire room
Stabbing my eyes
With the sharp shine
Instead of dwelling on it
I get up
And go about my day
Of the painfully bright sun
Eclipse through my window
Early this morning
Awakening me
From a restless slumber
Radiating throughout
The entire room
Stabbing my eyes
With the sharp shine
Instead of dwelling on it
I get up
And go about my day

great poem!!! Cyn
Yes! good for you for still crusading on and going about your day, despite the hurt. I like how you used an image that commonly is used to show goodness as a source for your pain. Unique work here.
Nice poetry.
Fine way of narration.
I feel like this too when I wake up.
beauty line for line
Nice poem!.............I like the way you express yourself but don't play with too sharp an object!.................
