Inception Movie Review

If you missed Inception while it was in the theaters, you can catch it on DVD today. I highly suggest renting it. Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, Tom Berenger, and Michael Caine entertain us for over two hours with fabulous direction by Christopher Nolan.

It was a mind bender movie that will have you wondering for hours about everything that happened in the last dream. I'll try to not give away the movie, but I will say pay attention to the beginning of the movie. After my husband and I saw Inception, I wanted to see it again to figure out the ending.

Inception was about dream manipulation. The concept that someone could manipulate your dreams is fascinating, but scary. Apparently, we dream in levels. At certain levels, DiCaprio and his cohorts would plant ideas to benefit their client that was paying them large sums of money for their talents. There's a glitch to this dream altering and DiCaprio is advised to not take on the next assignment that leads us on a fascinating altered state of events.

The action in the movie keeps you glued to the screen. Nolan did an excellent job keeping us on the edge of our seats as we witnessed the various levels of dreams that DiCaprio struggled through as he tried to complete his mission. The dreams were very complex and Nolan would show the different levels of complexity simultaneously. I did not get confused by the different levels and it kept me on the edge of my seat. It did make me wonder if our dreams were really that deep.

I can't recall a movie that was as intriguing as Inception and it had me thinking for hours trying to figure out what happened and what it was all about.
